I love pigs. I don’t think they are a filthy animal and they do have personality (not what they say in Pulp Fiction) but sadly I am not allowed to have a pig.
According to my colleagues, Harry (our director) and James (our photographer) I already have too many animals at my house. Well, admittedly I do have two young dogs, a guinea pig, a lizard and two carnivorous fish. What can I say? North Devon is a very pet friendly place.
And surely, a pig can’t be too hard to look after?? But then I’m not sure my neighbours would be too impressed either. So, sadly no pig.
Instead I will just have to have fun with the kids at #Pigstock this weekend. Yes, North Devon’s friendliest family festival is back and features Jo Whiley, Laid Blak, Electric Swing Circus and Andy Day (Cbeebies) as headliners at The Big Sheep. It will definitely be a fun day out with the kids. Find out more here...PIGSTOCK
As the organisers at Pigstock have very kindly donated two free tickets, which I can give away and the weekend is fast approaching us, I thought I better launch a little competition to help promote their great event.
So, with pigs as the theme -
So, where can they live? Well, it can be a house of straw, a stunning beach side apartment, a large countryside family holiday home, or even a tent. Please just have fun and be creative.
All you have to do is add your answers in the comments on our competition post on Facebook - “Bob lives in mud, Dig lives in a luxury apartment, Barry lives in a castle on the Scottish Highlands". I'm sure you are getting the idea.
Then everyone who comments with ideas will be entered into a free prize draw where the winner will be drawn at random . The two free tickets are e-tickets so can be easily emailed across to the winner in time for Saturday.
