Our cottages in

Westward Ho!

We have stunning large holiday cottages near Westward Ho!, one is a lovingly converted artists cottage in the village of Northam,, it sleeps 5 in two bedrooms and has a lovely sun terrace at the rear of the cottage, perfect for some al fresco dining.

Another beautiful property is a luxury country house a couple of miles outside Northam –, which sleeps 10 in 5 bedrooms including a self-contained annex which is accessible. The main house has a massive open plan kitchen-diner great for large family meals.

Unusually the town is unique for having an exclamation mark at the end of its name which we assume is because the town deserves to be shouted about! Whilst the town is a lively, vibrant town full of great shops, pubs and restaurants, it is the lovely sandy beach that people flock to Westward Ho! for. The beach is backed by a pebble ridge and is very popular with surfers and wind-surfers. At the far end of the beach is Northam Burrows Nature Reserve which is accessible to the public and a great place to wonder along with the dog, which are allowed at the Burrows end of the beach all year round. To the back of all this is The Royal Westward Ho! Golf Club, the oldest Linx course in the country and a Championship course.

At either end of the town there are lovely walks which are all marked and well maintained, so you can wonder along the coastal path and head up to Abbotsham or Northam and have a pint in the local and then stroll back. Northam is a pretty village set high above Westward Ho! but still close enough to walk to the beach or the Burrows. It has good pubs and restaurants including Memories, an award winning restaurant.
