Things to do with the kids in Braunton

Besides letting little ones loose on the beach, there are plenty of other options to keep them entertained throughout your trip to Braunton. From soft play areas to skate parks, find something for your kids to enjoy.

The Quay Indoor Soft Play Centre

The Quay Indoor Soft Play Centre is a fabulous place where kids can let off some steam whilst you kick back with a mug of something warm (whilst keeping an eye on their whereabouts of course!). Located at Velator Quay, the Quay has a nautical theme for your little pirates and mermaids to enjoy. After sailing the high seas and keeping watch in the lighthouse, fill hungry tummies at the Quay Café where a fabulous menu has something for everyone. Breakfast baps, pizzas, toasties and cakes await devouring so you can refuel before the next activity. The centre welcomes children under the age of 12 though those over 12 may be permitted at the discretion of staff.

Skate Bowl and Pump Track

Sitting next to the Museum of British Surfing, Braunton’s skate bowl is a great place for kids to unleash some energy. Grab a skateboard, a scooter, or a bike and stop by this small facility on a walk through the village. Head over to the pump track near Velator where you can pick up some speed, zoom over bumps, and follow the track around and around. The track is one of the largest in the South West and often has a welcoming crowd who will cheer you on!

And don't forget, there are plenty of days out further a field at local attractions such as the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Exmoor Zoo, Watermouth Castle, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way to keep everyone entertained, whatever their age.
