Braunton is a very lively village and claims to be the largest in the UK. It has a great selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants, with the very popular Le Bistro du Coin (just remember to book). The beach at Saunton Sands is only a 5 minute drive away and has three miles of sandy beach in one direction and has some of the best surfing in the UK. Croyde, a buzzing surfing village is also just further along the headland, where a night out in The Thatch is recommended. Beyond Croyde is the glorious beach at Putsborough where you can walk along the beach for 3 miles to Woolacombe. The area is full of wonderful coastal paths waiting to be explored. The wilds of Exmoor are also only a 30 minute drive away.
Lovely cottage, clean and tidy. Has everything you need. Kids loved playing in the garden and exploring. Really nice to have off road parking and outside space. Great location, close to beautiful beaches and lots of days out. Ate locally at the fish and chip shop and Chinese takeaway, both tasty meals. This is our 2nd trip to Kittiwake cottage and we wouldn't hesitate coming back in the future. Thank you. The P family, August 2019
