Seaweed is ideally situated in the heart of the popular seaside coastal village of Combe Martin on the North Devon coast. Newly refurbished to a high standard in 2020, this pet friendly, yet very clean, three bedroom cottage offers a great base for couples and families, plus two dogs, to explore the coast and nearby Exmoor National Park. It is a very short walk to both of the family and dog friendly beaches at Combe Martin, popular for rock-pooling, kayaking, SUP boarding and the amenities of the village.
Inside the property, Seaweed boasts a bright and spacious open plan living space featuring a large lounge area, where two double sofas, a comfy armchair, TV + DVD player and a wood-burning stove create an inviting space to relax after enjoyable days exploring the local area. This leads onto a dining area where you can enjoy supper round the table with seating for six. A modern and well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering holiday, and includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine. The breakfast bar with two high stools offers another great place to grab a quick cuppa or a leisurely breakfast. Doors lead out onto a rear patio area where you’ll find a small table and seating for two. Although a modest space, it is enclosed and therefore great for those holidaying with dogs. There is also an outdoor tap for rinsing dogs and wetsuits, a purpose-built wet-suit hanger, a built in BBQ and secure ground anchors for bikes, SUP boards etc (bring your own bike locks!) - all great for after days out to the beach.
The ground floor also has a double bedroom with a standard double bed and is ideally situated next to the ground floor bathroom. This features a walk-in shower, wash basin and WC. This is also where you will find microfleece beach towels to borrow for use out and about.
The other two bedrooms and family bathroom are found on the first floor. These include a second double bedroom with a standard size double bed, and then finally a large double bedroom featuring a super king sized bed, or two single 3’ beds, depending on your requirements (please let us know your preference when booking so we can pass your request on to the housekeeper). The family bathroom has a bath with shower overhead, wash basin and WC.
Two dogs are welcome at Seaweed. There is an additional charge per dog per booking.
Porch: Wooden bench, including space for boots and hanging coats, etc. Here you will find a sustainably produced belly board to borrow during your stay. Important details are left by the board to read before it is used.

As keen cyclists and runners/walkers, the owners can also provide downloadable GPX files for routes in the area. They can also communicate in Swedish, German and French. Usual changeover day is Friday, short breaks available, supermarket deliveries, £200 refundable security deposit.
