Wonderful stay ar Rose cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Rose cottage. It was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable indeed for a cosy nights sleep. The kitchen was bigger than we thought and very comfortable for cosy meals at the table The garden was lovely for sitting out in and relaxing. The bath was absolutely gorgeous for soaking in.

Cottage Overview

Rose Cottage, a traditional countryside cottage situated just outside the North Devon town of Barnstaple in North Devon. With sloping ceilings and plenty of period charm throughout, this dog friendly two storey self catering cottage comfortably sleeps 4 in two bedrooms in a lovely rural location.

Inside the cottage, a lounge area features a comfortable sofa, two armchairs, and a wall-mounted TV. Towards the right, there is a countryside kitchen fitted with an electric oven, gas hob, small dishwasher, washing machine and microwave, and well-equipped for a self-catering break. There is also a dining area with a high pine table, seating for 4 guests and lovely garden views. Back through the lounge, you’ll find the stairs leading up to the first floor, and a few steps lead into a ground floor bedroom. This ground floor double bedroom has a king-sized bed, and its own en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath and shower attachment, wash basin and WC.

The first floor bedroom is a lovely bright room, with a beamed sloping ceiling, and a window seat provides a lovely spot to admire the far-reaching countryside views. This room can either be made up as a double bedroom with a king-size bed or as a twin with two full-size single beds. There is also a first floor family bathroom, a spacious room fitted with a shower, roll-top bath, wash basin and WC.

Outside, guests staying at Rose Cottage can relax in the private garden, where an outdoor picnic table and two deck chairs have thoughtfully been provided.

Up to two dogs are welcome at Rose Cottage (extra charges apply), but please note the garden is not fully enclosed.

First Floor

Stairs lead up from the lounge area:
First floor bedroom: Double bedroom with either king-size bed or two full size single beds (zip n link beds), plenty of storage, a delightful window seat with lovely countryside views.
‍First floor family bathroom: Shower, roll-top bathroom, wash basin and WC

Central heating, wall-mounted TV, WiFi, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with small freezer compartment, iron, bed linens provided, towels provided, dogs welcome (additional charges apply), BBQ, off road parking, private garden (not fully enclosed), usual changeover day is Friday, short breaks available. £250 refundable security deposit. Please note: the fireplaces can not be used.
