Glencarron Lodge

Set in its own private 12,000 acre Scottish Highland Estate, Glencarron Lodge is a large hunting lodge that sleeps 18 guests (more on request) in 11 bedrooms.

With its own garden, spacious reception rooms, and breathtaking Highland Views, this Victorian period shooting lodge is ideal for large groups wishing to explore this unique part of the Scottish Highlands and surrounding wilderness.

Inside, Glencarron Lodge has been retained and thoughtfully furnished to include all your modern day comforts. The ground floor includes a large impressive drawing room with open fire, an elegant dining room that comfortably seats 18 guests, as well as a modern kitchen equipped with everything needed for preparing meals on a self catering break. There are two games rooms, with a pool table and table tennis, guaranteeing hours of fun for all. Then hidden away is a second sitting room, ideal for the kids and teenagers to relax watching TV or a movie.

The eleven bedrooms include two double bedrooms, seven twin rooms, and two single bedrooms. These are serviced by six bathrooms throughout the lodge. For those holidaying with infants, there are two cots available (please remember to bring your own cot bedding).

Outside, the lodge has its own beautiful garden, where a fence surrounds the bottom to prevent dogs from running off into the highlands. Guests also have access to stalking and other country pursuits such as fishing, and clay pigeon shooting that can be booked directly with the owners.

The estate itself is surrounded by Highland hills, glens and offers many miles of stunning walks, and has four peaks over 3000 feet. If you wish to explore this scenic corner of the Highlands further, then it is an easy drive to nearby villages of Applecross and Plockton, as well as the beaches on the west coast.
