With its excellent surf and clean waves, Woolacombe is always a popular spot for keen surfers, and families body boarding. With three miles of coast stretching from Morte Point towards Baggy Point, there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the waves safely. And during the key peak holiday weeks, on the main beach, it is also patrolled by a lifeguard team.
Whether you are a complete novice or just fancy improving your surfing skills, then there are plenty of surf schools in Woolacombe willing to help.
Based in the heart of the seaside village of Woolacombe is Woolacombe Surf Centre. They offer an exciting range of coastal activities focusing around the Atlantic and the vast playground it provides. They also specialise in surf lessons that are accredited as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ by Surfing England. In addition to surf lessons, the team at Woolacombe Surf Centre can also sessions in coasteering, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding (SUP’s) & surf hire.
Their friendly team is highly qualified with years of experience and passion that is clearly seen in what they do! So, whether it’s your first time, or you are an experienced surfer they have the experience and knowledge to meet your needs so you are having fun and progressing to the next level.
Each surf lesson is 2 hours long and include all the required equipment and coaching. FREE photos of your session will be taken and uploaded to the Facebook page as a memento of your glory moments!
