Yenworthy Mill welcomes up to 10 guests across its four bedrooms, offering an ideal retreat for avid walkers. Nestled within the breathtaking northern slopes of Exmoor National Park, this converted barn stands just a few hundred yards from the coast, providing mesmerizing views of the Bristol Channel.
The allure of Yenworthy Mill extends beyond its rich history. A rugged pathway from the farm guides guests to a secluded rocky beach, offering direct access to the South West Coast Path's scenic beauty. The farm boasts 13 miles of footpaths, including a historic monument—a Roman Fort at Old Burrow. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the four Sites of Special Scientific Interest, home to rare butterflies, unique tree species, expansive heather moorland, and captivating cliff geology.
Step inside the converted barn, and you'll find a spacious and well-equipped holiday cottage. The entrance area caters to practical needs, providing space for coats, wellies, and walking boots. The large room features a kitchen, a dining table with ten chairs, and a double-height sitting area with cosy sofas and a wood-burning stove. The property is well-appointed with kitchen appliances, including a large fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a dryer, a microwave, and an oven with a hob. The living room offers entertainment with a television, Blu-ray/DVD player, and CD player/iPod docking station, complemented by wireless broadband throughout at no extra cost.
A walk-in cupboard provides access to a washing machine and dryer, while a gallery room upstairs offers additional comfort with three sofas and a large television.
The accommodation on the ground floor includes a downstairs toilet, a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and a twin bedroom—all accessible from an internal corridor. Ascend the stairs to the first floor, where a family bathroom, a twin bedroom, and a family bedroom with a double bed, bunk beds, and a cot await.
Outside, a charming raised garden with mature shrubs provides a delightful space to relax, boasting views over the Bristol Channel and equipped with seating and a barbecue. Accessed via a private drive shared with the farm and two other holiday cottages, Yenworthy Mill ensures privacy with its own parking area and a short path leading to the entrance.
For families, a cot and high chair are provided, along with bed linen, duvets, blankets, and towels. Guests with dogs are welcome, but it's essential to arrange this in advance, with a supplementary fee of £15 per dog. Given the farm's working nature, responsible pet ownership is crucial, ensuring dogs are kept under control at all times, particularly around livestock. Additionally, guests are kindly requested not to allow dogs on furniture or upstairs and to avoid leaving them unattended in the property.
