Discover the enchanting Yenworthy Barn in Oare, an idyllic retreat that comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests across its four charming bedrooms. Nestled on the captivating northern slopes of Exmoor National Park, this haven offers panoramic views of the Channel. Amongst two meticulously converted traditional barns on the farm, Yenworthy Barn stands out, providing a high-quality holiday cottage in North Devon that seamlessly blends with its natural surroundings.
Appealing to countryside enthusiasts and avid walkers alike, Yenworthy Barn is the perfect base camp for exploration, with picturesque walking trails right at your doorstep and approximately 13 miles of footpaths to wander.
Formerly a working farm with its own mill, Yenworthy Barn boasts a distinctive layout. Upon entering on the upper ground floor, you'll step into a spacious open-plan kitchen-dining-living area— the heart of this unique property. This floor also houses a double bedroom with an accessible shower en-suite.
Yenworthy Barn offers a versatile layout with a spacious first-floor area for socializing, dining, and entertaining. A well-equipped kitchen and an accessible bedroom with a bathroom (wheelchair accessible) are also situated on this level. The Barn features a patio for outdoor dining and a secure garden area for children and/or dogs to play freely.
Descend to the lower level to discover three more bedrooms, including a double with an en-suite shower room, a twin, and a family room with a double and bunk beds suitable for adults. A family bathroom, complete with a shower and bath, toilet, and hand basin, as well as a separate toilet with a hand basin, complete the accommodations.
Accessed via a private drive shared with the farm and two other holiday cottages, Yenworthy Barn extends a warm welcome to dogs (maximum of 5) by prior arrangement.
While farm dogs coexist happily with visitors, both human and canine, guests can explore the expansive fields and streams safely. Direct access to various walking paths, including the coastal path, awaits avid hikers. Although the nearby beach below the farm is pebbly and rocky, offering a picturesque stroll, delightful sandy beaches like Lee Abbey Beach at Lynton and renowned surfing spots at Croyde, Saunton, and Woolacombe are just a short drive away, promising a diverse range of coastal experiences.
A supplemental fee of £15 per dog ensures their inclusion in your country escape.
Given the farm's working nature, it's crucial to keep your furry companions under control due to potential nearby livestock. Maintain their discipline by refraining from letting them on furniture or in bedrooms, and never leave them unattended within the property. Please note, that this property strictly prohibits smoking. Check-in is available from 4 pm on your arrival day, with check-out by 10 am on the departure day. We kindly ask guests to leave the property clean and orderly for the convenience of our next visitors.
