This traditional semi-detached farmhouse is set in the pretty hamlet of Patchole, just on the outskirts of the popular coastal village of Combe Martin in North Devon. A lovely quiet countryside location, surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and traditional Devon farmland offering families peace and tranquillity for a relaxing break away together, but also providing the ideal base for exploring the very best of what North Devon has to offer. From the farmhouse, it is only a short drive to explore the wilds of Exmoor National Park, the stunning North Devon coastline and its glorious golden beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton, as well as a number of family attractions including Exmoor Zoo, the National Trust property Arlington Court and its carriage museum, Watermouth Castle, Combe Martin Dinosaur and Wildlife Park, the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway.
Combe Martin also offers a fantastic family friendly beach, ideal for rock pooling and a good choice of independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Pyne Arms in East Down also nearby offers families excellent meals with local ales.
The cottage itself comfortably accommodates up to 9 guests providing a charming lounge, countryside kitchen/diner, four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Outside, guests can enjoy privacy in its lovely countryside garden, featuring swings and a playhouse for the children. There are more than 100 acres of its farmland to explore, where guests are welcome to roam and discover the array of wildlife and animals including bats, birds and of course, the sheep, hens and horses!
