Cottage Overview

Upper Mill is a delightful one bedroom holiday cottage located at Wheel Farm on the edge of Combe Martin in North Devon. This pretty couple-friendly cottage is great for a winter short break or an action-packed summer holiday. The cottage, which is pet free is set on the first floor of the original water-mill building and is therefore full of character features, such as wood beams and exposed stone walls.

Once inside guests can enjoy a large open plan living area with a comfy lounge featuring a sofa, a wood-burning stove, a TV and a DVD player, a well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, a microwave, a slow cooker and a fridge, and finally a dining table, which seats two.

When onsite guests can take advantage of the excellent communal leisure facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna, a tennis court and a children's play area. There are also acres of grounds to explore.

Wheel Farm is ideally located only a few minutes drive from the seaside town of Combe Martin, where there is a lovely beach, several shops and few places to get something to eat. Further along the coast is the Victorian harbour town of Ilfracombe, here you can take a boat to Lundy Island or just wander the streets enjoying the laid back atmosphere. Other notable places to see nearby include Lynton and Lynmouth, Barnstaple and Appledore. If you are looking to enjoy a day on one of North Devon's beautiful, golden beaches, Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton are less than a 15-minute drive and are ideal for relaxing or participating in a water sport. For days when the weather is a little grey, why not visit one of the local attractions, such as Exmoor Zoo, Arlington Court or The Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park. Alternatively. Exmoor National Park is only a short drive away and is well worth visiting - stop off in one of the many tea rooms and have a traditional cream tea before setting off to admire the local scenery.
