The Boathouse is a fabulous newly renovated four bedroom waterfront holiday home, just a short stroll from the quay, restaurants and pubs of the popular seaside village of Appledore.
Inside, the accommodation is set over two floors. The main floor features a good sized open plan living area, three bedrooms and a family bathroom. Down in the basement, there is a further bedroom that doubles up as a cinema room, and a garage for off-road parking.
The main living area features a lounge area with two comfy sofas and a wall-mounted TV, dining table that comfortably seats 6, and a kitchen equipped with all your appliances needed for a relaxing self catering holiday. These include an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer, plus there is a handy built in pantry. A washing machine can also be found in a hallway cupboard.
Along the hallway, you’ll find the first bedroom is a spacious double room with handy zip and link beds that can either be made up as a king size bed or two full size single beds. There is also a small TV, and an en-suite shower room. The other two bedrooms are a twin room with plenty of storage and a small TV, and the final bedroom is a small double bedroom with an en-suite WC. On this floor, there is also a family bathroom, with a dual-head shower over bath, wash basin and WC.
Downstairs, there is a rather unique basement bedroom/cinema room. Guests can discover a bright open space with modern furnishings, a huge 75” wall-mounted TV, leather sofa and several bean bag chairs. A fabulous space to enjoy a movie!
There are also two single beds, an additional table with seating and wardrobe, as well as an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower. We are sure this room will be a huge hit for those holidaying with teenagers.
Finally, The Boathouse boasts a rather unique outdoor space with its roof terrace, an ideal space to make the most of the sun. Please note: BBQs are not permitted on the terrace, and there is a steep staircase and trapdoor leading up to the terrace, so might not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
One dog is welcome at the cottage. A second dog may be welcome on request.
