At the edge of Exmoor, this charming traditional cottage is situated in the hamlet of Patchole, near Kentisbury and just a few miles from the popular North Devon village of Combe Martin, with its family friendly beach, pubs, shops and restaurants.
Although, set in a lovely quiet and tranquil countryside setting, there is still easy access to the stunning North Devon coastline, where Woolacombe, well-known for its golden sands and surf is only a 20 minute drive away. The stunning beaches at Putsborough, Croyde and Saunton are also not far, just further along the coast. The seaside town of Ilfracombe, with its seafront attractions, historic Tunnels Beaches, Damien Hirst ‘Verity’ sculpture, art galleries and growing number of good quality restaurants, including the Michelin star restaurant at The Olive Room. Family attractions such as the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Exmoor Zoo and National Trust Arlington Court are all just a few miles away too.
Close by, Exmoor National Park provides some fantastic scenery and some amazing walks, suitable for all abilities. A day out to Lynton and Lynmouth and a ride on the unique Cliff Railway is a definite must too.

A traditional countryside kitchen is well-equipped to cater for all guests could need on a self-catering holiday and is home to a large dining room table, that comfortable seats up to 9 guests.
On the first floor, there are four bedrooms which includes a master bedroom with a wonderful four-poster bed, a double bedroom, a triple bedroom and a bunk-bedded room. These are serviced by a family bathroom, separate shower room and an additional WC.
There is a pretty walled garden, with a children’s playhouse, swings, BBQ and seating provided. Guests are also welcome to explore the 100 acres of grounds of the working farm, and enjoy some lovely walks and picnic spots.
South Patchole Farm Cottage is a fantastic choice for families looking for a quiet countryside retreat but that’s still close to the coast and with plenty to do nearby.
