Cottage Overview

Primrose Safari Tent has been thoughtfully furnished to provide a relaxed and comfortable stay whilst ‘glamping’ in a truly idyllic countryside setting.

Comfortably sleeping up to six guests, this safari tent features a large open plan living space featuring a wood-burning stove, comfortable sofa and dining area with six chairs. There is also a well-equipped kitchen with all your supplies, a private hot shower and compost loo. Outside, there is a covered verandah with outdoor seating, perfect for relaxing with a drink in the evening whilst the sun sets. For sleeping arrangements, there is a double sofa bed in the lounge area and two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other has two standard single beds.

Just a short walk from Primrose Safari Tent is a communal barn where guests are welcome to use the hot showers, fridges, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and power sockets at no extra charge.

On this popular East Devon glamping site, there are two additional yurts and three other safari tent (one with its own wood fired hot tub) spaced out on the six-acre meadow. Ideal for large groups of friends and families looking to book a group of tents together. Please note: there is plenty of space between of the tents to ensure privacy.

Guests can enjoy exploring the acres of meadows, woodlands and streams. The farm animals such as pigs, chickens, lambs and ponies all add to this wonderful glamping farm experience.

For your local amenities during your self-catering holiday, there is a well-stocked local shop at the nearby village of West Hill and a supermarket and good choice of independent shops (butchers, bakery) are within easy reach at nearby Ottery St Mary. There are also some lovely gastro pubs and restaurants nearby, including The Golden Lion by the River Otter.

The Jurassic coast and the beaches at Sidmouth, Beer and Branscombe are just a short drive away. Other family fun days include Crealy Adventure Park, a visit to Bicton Park and the National Trust’s Killerton House.
