Park View Farmhouse is a wonderful ‘home-from-home’ dog friendly holiday home, set in an idyllic countryside location on the edge of Kentisbury, a small village in North Devon, close to Exmoor National Park and the North Devon coastline.
This wonderful spacious period farmhouse, comfortably sleeps 8 in four bedrooms and effortlessly combines original period features, with stylish furnishings and the added luxury of a private hot tub to offer families and large groups (and their four-legged friends) high quality accommodation in a lovely rural setting. The accommodation is set over two floors, and each room has been recently renovated and furnished to a very high standard offering both luxury and comfort.
From a quiet countryside lane, you access the property from its own private driveway. You are then welcomed into the main hallway with plenty of space to hang coats, and store boots. The ground floor features a spacious living room, where you’ll find plenty of comfy sofas and a large TV, decorative fireplace and stylish furnishings provides an inviting space to gather everyone together to relax after enjoyable days exploring.
Then back in the hallway, there is a dining room with a large table and seating for eight people. This lovely spacious room also benefits from lovely countryside views, access to the patio and leads into a delightful traditional countryside kitchen. The charming kitchen is well-equipped to cater for a large group on a self-catering holiday and includes an Sandyford Aga, as well as an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and slow cooker. A separate handy utility room houses a washing machine, and large fridge/freezer, and access to the rear garden. There is also a ground floor WC located next door to the utility room.
Four well-presented bedrooms and a large family bathroom are all set on the first floor. These include a double bedroom with a standard double bed and an en-suite shower room, two large double bedrooms both with king-sized beds, and the fourth bedroom is a lovely bunk room with two full-size bunk beds, ideal for the kids. All three double bedrooms also have wall-mounted TVs. The family bathroom features a roll-top bath, separate walk-in shower, a WC and wash basin.
Outside, Park View Farmhouse benefits from its own enclosed garden. There is plenty of lawn space for garden games, plus the patio space has a hot tub, BBQ and outside furniture for dining al-fresco style. There is also a lockable storage facility, ideal for storing surfboards and bikes.
As this property is accessed via its own private driveway, there is plenty of off-road parking for three to four cars.
