Cottage Overview

Cuckoo Down Farm offers the very best glamping holidays. Daisy Safari Tent is one of the six glamping tents, where there are four safari tents and two yurts set on the large six-acre meadow on this working farm.

Daisy Safari Tent enjoys a spacious living area complete with large sofa, double sofa bed, dining table and chairs, wood burning stove and a well-equipped kitchen area. There are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. It also has its own compost loo and private hot shower. At the front, underneath the covered verandah, there is plenty of outdoor seating, ideal for enjoying a leisurely meal together whilst enjoying a wonderful sunset.

Just a few minutes’ walk from the meadow, there is also a communal barn with hot showers, fridges, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and power sockets that guests are welcome to use free of charge.

Comfortably sleeping up to six guests, this Safari Tent is perfect for families, couples and friends looking to holiday in this wonderful part of Devon. Surrounded by beautiful countryside on a working farm, where the farm animals (ponies, chickens and pigs to name a few) simply add to the fun, and guests are welcome to roam and enjoy the many acres of meadows and woodland and play in the stream.

Many enjoyable days out can be found just a short drive away from Cuckoo Down Farm, where the coast is also within easy reach too. Exploring the adventure gardens at Escot House, or for the more active swinging through the trees at Go Ape to the kids favourite – Crealy Adventure Park.

There are also many lovely gastro pubs and fantastic restaurants nearby including The Golden Lion by the River Otter. The pretty East Devon of Ottery St. Mary is only 2.5 miles away and has a good choice of shops, restaurants, tea rooms and a supermarket.
