Clover Yurt at Cuckoo Down Farm is a popular glamping site for families, couples and hen parties, not far from the East Devon coast. At Cuckoo Down Farm, there are two yurts (Buttercup and Clover), but there are also four safari lodges (one with the added luxury of a private hot tub), all spaced out on a six-acre meadow.
The open plan living/sleeping space is 18ft in diameter and furnished with comfort in mind. With a double bed and two double sofa beds,Clover Yurt ideally accommodates couples, up to 4 adults or a family with small children (up to 6). It includes a well-equipped kitchen space, compost loo, wood burning stove, standpipe of drinking water, camp fire and outdoor seating.
Showers are available in the main barn which is just a short walk from Clover yurt. This main barn also features fridges, a freezer, a washing machine and tumble dryer all free for guests to use. There are also power points, useful for charging phones and tablets.
On the farm itself, the farm animals such as ponies, chickens and lambs (in the spring), plus over 30 acres of meadows, woodlands and a stream provide plenty of entertainment. However, days out to the beach can be enjoyed in a short drive to the Jurassic coast, particularly at the Devon coastal resort of Sidmouth. Popular local attractions include a visit to Bicton Park or for the kids at Crealy Adventure Park.
