Cottage Overview

Within a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the North Devon village of Braunton, Braunton Cottage is a three-bedroom family and pet friendly holiday cottage comfortably accommodating up to six guests.

Well-presented and thoughtfully furnished throughout, Braunton Cottage provides spacious accommodation for families and groups of friends looking for a quiet retreat yet with plenty to do and see nearby.

This charming property, that was once part of a Devon longhouse dates back to the 18th century and still features plenty of character. There is a spacious living room with two leather sofas, flat screen TV and wood-burning stove and a large open plan kitchen/diner equipped with everything you could need for a self-catering holiday. Appliances include electric oven with hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer. On the first floor, the three bedrooms include a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a double bedroom and a twin room. These are all serviced by a family bathroom.

Outside, sliding patio doors from the kitchen lead out onto a terrace, where guests can enjoy relaxing ‘alfresco’ and a series of steps lead to a sundeck and a fully enclosed garden.

The village of Braunton has an excellent choice of cafes, restaurants and independent shops. The stunning beach at Saunton Sands is just a 5 minute drive away, plus further along the coast are the popular beaches at Croyde and Woolacombe. The Tarka Trail and the South West Coastal Path are great for exploring, plus there are a number of excellent local family attractions nearby including The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Quince Honey Farm to name a few.

Braunton in North Devon is a lively village in the centre of the North Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty offering a fantastic base for exploring the coast and countryside. The village itself boasts a fantastic choice of independent shops, food stores, cafes, restaurants and bars. Saunton Sands beach, with three-miles of golden sands backed by the dunes, and the famous Braunton Burrows (the largest sand dune system in England) and clean surf is just a few miles outside the village. But also, the popular coastal resorts of Croyde and Woolacombe, famous for their clean sands and fantastic surf are just a short drive further along the coast. The South West Coast Path and the Tarka Trail provide walkers and cyclists the opportunity to explore the best of what this area has to offer.
